BUSINESS BACKGROUND

Marshall's Pasta is owned by Jodie and Blake Marshall. They started their business in 1995 making fresh pasta and homemade sauces and other Italian food. In 2008 they bought Lusitana Portuguese Bakery and continued baking fresh bread everyday. Presently the majority of their business is catering. Marshall's Pasta caters to many sports teams, businesses and school hotlunches.

WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR STRATEGY THROUGHOUT THE PANDEMIC?

Our strategy throughout this pandemic has been focused on two things. To increases our retail sales by getting all our products online so people can order everything  in the store and have it delivered. Secondly, to help others in need who are struggling during this difficult time. We belong to the "Home not Hungry Imitative" run by the Home and caregiver Magazine. Every Thursday we prepare and deliver food to families in need. We also have sent food to My sister Place where there is a demand for 150 meals per day.

HOW HAS THE PANDEMIC & SHUTDOWN AFFECTED YOUR BUSINESS?

The pandemic has really decimated our catering which  makes up 75% of our business. We are very fortunate that we are able to be open to sell our prepared meals, pasta and sauces and breads for takeout.
