2020 has been quite an interesting ride, hasn't it? At Collins, we know you may be nervous about planning a wedding during these times. We understand, and have created the most comprehensive cancellation policy we have ever had.

If you are picking up at a corporate store, you have up to 72 hours before the wedding to cancel and still receive a full refund. (applies to suit and tuxedo rentals) You can also change your date within this window and receive no penalty. We know situations can change rapidly, and we want you to be covered should anything happen that makes you change your plans, regardless if it is one groomsman that can't make it, or if the entire event needs to be rescheduled or cancelled. If picking up at a dealer location and your order has already shipped, you will just need to pay the shipping cost.

With less than 72 hours, you will receive a partial refund of your balance less $100. (applies to suit and tuxedo rentals) You can also opt to reschedule the date with no penalty.

Please contact the store regarding Kilt rental cancellation policy, as some items are rented from a third party and we must follow their policy.

RENTAL POLICY Collins Formal Wear’s rental policy exists to ensure equal standards and quality of service throughout all our corporate locations. The policy as follows:

  • Temporary COVID policy regarding suit and tuxedo rental refunds 72 hours or more before the event: Full refund for COVID related cancellations up to 72 hours before wedding, with ability to also change date with no penalty. This goes for the entire wedding or individual rentals in the wedding party. (for reason such as a member of the party is in isolation, can not make it to the wedding location due to travel restrictions, and other related reasons.)

  • Temporary COVID policy regarding suit and tuxedo rental refunds less than 72 hours before the event. Partial refund equal to total amount minus rental deposit of $100. Ability to transfer deposit to new date with no penalty.

  • Temporary COVID policy regarding pickup at agent stores: See individual store for their own cancellation policy, however it is our general policy to transfer wedding to another date at no charge assuming the order is not shipped. In cases where the order has shipped, shipping fee only will be charged. Customers renting from dealer locations (not corporate stores) should contact the location they rented from and not Corporate headquarters regarding their cancellation policy.

  • As part of the rental agreement, customers are required to attend a final fitting upon delivery of their rental. If, for any reason, a customer is unable to attend the final fitting, the responsibility of the fit is then the responsibility of the customer, not Collins Formal Wear.

  • At the time of your rental pick up please allow for adequate time to review and try on your rental to ensure accuracy and fit.

  • Our total liability for any claim or litigation arising from or relating to the rental garments is limited to the actual charges actually paid for each item by the customer.

  • Rentals are due back on your scheduled return date following the event. Failure to return all rental garments will result in a $25 per day late fee that will continue to accrue until the rental is returned and the fee is paid.

  • Lost, missing, or damaged rental items (if the damage exceeds $100 or is irreversible) must be purchased at full sale price upon return of the rest of the rental.

  • Collins Formal Wear is not responsible for any personal property left in the returned rental or garment bag.

  • ‘Rush Orders’ or rentals that are required less than one week after the reservation day will be subject to a ‘rush fee’. The rushed nature of these orders means that these items cannot be guaranteed, and in an event that the item requested is unavailable, an associate will arrange an appropriate substitution.
